Basswood Elementary School staff put on "The Masked Singer"
Students at Basswood Elementary School celebrated their fun run fundraising success on Oct. 9 with their rendition of “The Masked Singer.” Students gathered in the gym for the all-school celebration.

In each round of the performances, three staff members, dressed up in inflatable costumes and masks to hide their identities, danced on stage, with one staff member holding a microphone. A screen to the side of the stage had pictures of the three staff members, and at the end of the song students had to guess which one they thought was holding the microphone. The staff members danced along to songs such as “Dance the Night Away,” “Thunder,” “Beautiful Things” and “Shake It Off.”

As the finale of the event, a special guest dressed in a hippo inflatable, who was later revealed to be Supt. Dr. Kim Hiel, joined the Basswood mascots on stage to dance to “Golden.” To close out the celebration, all of the students and staff joined Dr. Hiel in dancing and singing along to “Golden.”
